Terms of Service

1. Purpose and Service

These Terms govern your use of Shadowing.tv (the "Service"), a tool for creating speaking lessons from your own YouTube videos and practicing them (shadowing) with AI pronunciation feedback.

The Service is operated by GUDOC Co., Ltd. (주식회사 구독), a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea (business registration no. 113-86-88500), under the brand "Shadowing.tv". Operator contact: moneycopy88@gmail.com

By signing up for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

Sign-up is via Google account login. You must be at least 14 years old.

Your account is for your personal use only, and you are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Pronunciation Assessments

Your right to use pronunciation scoring is shown and deducted in "assessments" (scoring one sentence = 1 assessment; internally metered as 10 credits). Assessments are a usage-metering unit for features within the Service, are not redeemable for cash, and cannot be transferred or traded between users.

· Regular assessments (welcome, packs): never expire.

· Subscription assessments: granted each billing cycle; unused assessments expire at the end of the cycle.

· Deduction order: subscription assessments are used first, then regular assessments automatically.

· The welcome benefit (100 assessments) is granted once per account.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments are processed by an external payment provider identified at checkout; that provider's buyer terms may also apply.

Subscriptions renew and are charged automatically each cycle (1/3/6 months). Base assessments are granted per cycle, and a bonus is granted automatically once you use 90% of the base allowance.

Canceling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the current cycle, and remaining subscription assessments expire when it ends.

5. Refunds

Assessment packs (regular assessments) are non-refundable.

Subscriptions may be partially refunded: refund = payment × (1 − max(assessment usage ratio, elapsed time ratio)) × 0.9 (a 10% processing fee is deducted).

Refunds are confirmed via an approval link sent to your email. Upon approval your subscription ends immediately and remaining subscription assessments are removed. The refund is processed by the payment provider and may take several days depending on your payment method.

6. Usage Limits

To keep the Service stable and prevent cost abuse, the following limits apply and may be adjusted:

· Practice (assessment): 500 per account per day

· Lesson creation: 20 per day · Subtitle extraction: 20 per day · Sentences per lesson: up to 200

· Recording storage: 10MB per file, 10GB per account

7. User Content (Lessons)

Lessons can only be created from videos on a YouTube channel you own (ownership verified by connecting your Google account), and captions are retrieved only for your own videos via the official YouTube API. Lessons cannot be created from third-party videos.

Publishing (sharing) a lesson is likewise limited to lessons made from your own channel's videos. You are responsible for the rights to your content and for not infringing third-party rights.

Deleting a published lesson may be restricted while other learners are practicing it, to protect their progress.

We may unpublish or remove content that infringes rights or is inappropriate.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited and may result in restriction without prior notice:

· Mass automated requests; fraudulent acquisition of assessments (including multi-account abuse)

· Exploiting vulnerabilities, using another person's account, or posting content that infringes third-party rights

9. Changes and Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee learning outcomes or the accuracy of AI assessment results, which are for reference only.

We may change or discontinue the Service; if paid features are discontinued, we will give reasonable advance notice.

We are not liable for damages caused by force majeure or failures of external services (YouTube, cloud providers, etc.).

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion your account info (email, social login) is de-identified, you can no longer sign in, and you cannot re-register with the same Google account.

Any active subscription is canceled immediately (request a refund before deleting if you need one), and all assessments are lost.

Published lessons and practice records remain in anonymized form to protect other learners.

11. Miscellaneous

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea; disputes are subject to the competent court at the operator's place of business.

Changes to these Terms will be announced in the Service or by email; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
